Class of 1960 Reunion

The 65th class reunion was a great success. Our graduating class of 1960 had 90 students and 9 of us met for the alumni breakfast on Sunday. Left to right, Linda Zisler, Paul Blonski, Robert Juliani, Joyce Foliano, Harold Weenick, Al. Wisnieski, Ron Turek, Jerry Kurant, and John Kukich. For the most part, everyone was pretty healthy. Lots of memories were shared and new ones created. When I look at the list of faculty members, every single one had a significant part in making us become successful adults. We were the luckiest bunch around to have such great teachers. I am forever thankful that we grew up in the 60s. Life was a lot less stressful.

Friday August 1st – 6 to 8 PM Walk our old High School Halls & Tailgate. Gather at front entrance of our school. Park along the drive in front of the school or a parking lot nearby.
Get takeout/delivery of Angie’s or Romito’s pizza or support our hometown Home Days venues in the Park as good options for tailgating … then to Home Days in Elmwood Park and mingling at the Kiwanis Pavilion Beer/ Wine Garden.

Cars may be left at the high school for a walk to the park or catch a city golf cart service.

Saturday August 2nd – 6 PM to 12 midnight Reunion gathering at the home of Tony & Sue DiGeronimo 6410 Brecksville Rd. Independence, Ohio.
Full catered buffet dinner with open bar.

Sunday August 3rd – 9 to 11:30 AM IHS Alumni Association Breakfast Fundraiser at the Elmwood Park Kiwanis Pavilion. Adults $10.00, young kids and non-eaters free.

Class of 1956

Annually we have a Class of 1956 luncheon in Brecksville. (We wanted to have it in Independence but no restaurant met our needs.) There’s a small but faithful number that attend. One class member comes from California, another from South Carolina, and I come from Minnesota. The others that attend are primarily from Ohio. Every year there are more canes, walkers and hearing aids in use but we still have a good time reminiscing and catching up with current events in our lives!

Attention Class of 1975

Attention Class of 1975. Please save the date of Friday, October 25. It will be our 50th anniversary of beating the Brecksville Bees in football.  This exciting event happened exactly 50 years ago to the day. We plan to go to the IHS game that night and then out to dinner afterwards.
