2025 Diploma of Distinction Presentation

Please join us on Monday, June 9 at 7 P.M., in the High School Media Center for the presentation of the 2025 Diploma of Distinction to Dale Veverka, Class of 1970.

Dale's lifetime exemplifies the ideals of dedicated service to education, citizenship, selfless service, and volunteering benefiting others. Highlights include:

  • 34-year teaching career, coach and Education Association Treasurer.
  • Eight-year City Councilman and now running for 5th term.
  • Past President of Independence Seniors' Organization.
  • Kiwanis member serving community.
  • Pillar of Independence United Methodist Church initiating community outreach programs benefiting the entire community.
  • A renowned lifetime "Classic Car Guy" and past President for 8-years, and now, again reelected, of the North Coast AMC Car Club.
  • And, current President of the Independence High School Alumni Association.

Seemingly, Dale is addicted to volunteering, and there is not a day of his life when he is not serving others.

In spite of his objection, it is time to recognize and thank Dale on Monday, June 9 at 7 P.M.! Please attend and participate in recognizing Dale.
