You’re invited! Join us at the March meeting of the IHS Alumni Association where we will recognize the accomplishments and achievements of Danielle Renton and Joan Mencl, the 2022 Educator of Excellence award winners.
 Ms. Renton began her career teaching at Independence in 1991 and continues teaching mainly science and ELA at the fifth grade level at the Independence Middle School. She is the 2019 recipient of the Ohio Middle School Association Regional Award. |
 Ms. Mencl retired from teaching after 35 years and continues serving the community as President of the Independence Local School’s Board of Education. |
The meeting, our only luncheon event of the year, will be held in the Media Center at Independence High School. The inspiring award ceremony will be followed by a light lunch and time to mix and mingle.
